Leovegas launched in 2012 as a mobile casino, and the company has always taken a mobile-first approach to their product and user interface. They have a very good casino product as you might expect, with a selection of their own ‘Leovegas Originals’ slots developed with some of their biggest game providers.
In 2016 they added a sportsbook, powered by Kambi, the provider behind Unibet, 32red, and 888sport, among others. Kambi sportsbooks have a good market offer for both prematch and live, and in May 2018 added functionality for their partners to select their own margins, change prices, and add their own content. Leovegas has chosen to be competitive with margin on top level events, with 104.5% margin on their Grade A 1×2 markets, and 104% on total goals over/under. Where they are not always competitive is on the price of the favourite, so for favourite backers, and players who like to place multiples on the top teams, there are better prices available elsewhere.
They have some nice stats, league tables, and form guides embedded with their market offer, and offer visualisation for live betting, and cash out on selected markets. There is very little live streaming coverage, and no in-game multiples allowed, so there are a few features missing from being a top sportsbook product.
The biggest negative with Leovegas sportsbook is if you are using their site on your PC or laptop. It is designed for mobile, as are all Leovegas products, but this doesn’t translate well to desktop. Navigation is not straightforward, with far too many clicks needed to move between events, and poor visibility for most of their product. If you play heavily on mobile, then download their award-winning mobile app, and you will find all top sporting events, and a broad 24/7 live offer. However, if you play on desktop, save yourself the frustration you will face when trying to navigate their sportsbook. They offer little in the way of additional unique sports product and have nothing to recommend them over Kambi’s other brands.
On the plus side, they are a trustworthy, established company that you can put your faith (and funds) in. They cover most major payment solutions for both deposit and withdrawal, have a helpful FAQs section on site and offer 24/7 customer support.
