It’s time for PAOK to break all the records
The Greek Cup Final will be hosted at OAKA stadium in Athens where PAOK will face AEK in a match with almost no spectators.
For the first time in history, the Greek Cup has a third consecutive final with the same teams. What a pity we can not celebrate this record with a feast of football! The stadium will be empty for security reasons and only 300 tickets were given by the federation.
In this match will arbitrate an experienced referee from abroad, the German referee Felix Zwayer. The assistants will be his compatriots and the two referees who will run the VAR will also be Germans.
Αfter the end of this season, PAOK managed to win the championship after 14 years and finished the season without losing a single game, breaking the record that only Panathinaikos had accomplished 55 years ago.
The Black-Whites are by far the best team in Greece right now, their last target is to win this cup and celebrate for the first time a double.
With their confidence being that high after winning the title, evrything shows that they will win this cup for the third consecutive year.
On the other hand, AEK finished in the 3rd place of the league and granted a place for next season’s UEFA Europa League.
The Yellow-Blacks are also a very powerful team in Greece but when they encounter PAOK lately they seem to struggle, this season they managed to make a draw in Athens (1-1) but they lost in Thessaloniki (2-0).
In the last 2 cup finals PAOK was the big winner against AEK (2017-18: 2-0, 2016-17: 2-1).Tip created by Greekster
