Quality and experience all point to Liverpool
Liverpool and Tottenham both arrive at the Champions League final having overcome the odds in their semi-final ties. Liverpool had to beat Barcelona by four at Anfield, and Tottenham had less than 40 minutes to score three goals away to Ajax. Both teams pulled it off and feel their name is written on the trophy, but it’s Liverpool who have the stronger claims.
They finished the season 26 points clear of Spurs and took all six points from their two meetings. They won their last nine league matches (Spurs had five defeats and only three wins in the same period) and they have the experience of last year’s unlucky final defeat to build on.
Firmino’s participation is important, but either way, Liverpool’s class, form, and experience should be too much for Tottenham, and they can win in 90 minutes.Tip created by MOSCOW
